Monkhouse would still be a Robin but for Sturrock's arrival

ANDY Monkhouse believes he would be lining up for Swindon against Hartlepool tomorrow if it was not for a change of management during his time at the club.

Few things wrong with this article. The Adver says he was 'settled in Swindon'. He wasnt in Swindon at all, he was commuting from Rotherham which broke one of Sturrocks rules. Also meant he was late for training on Sturrocks first day. So all this 'manager just didnt like me I guess' is an absolute load of bollocks, he knows full well why he was kicked out of the club.

And we won the first 6 games that season Adver you nupties, not 4.

I think the article is referring to the games that Town won while Monkhouse played, which is the first four.

Is Monkhouse better than Richie? No. Better than Ward last season? No.

Completely stupid article.
