Low and behold he made it as a pilot in the RAF and if im not mistaken by some current facebook photos is currently working as a commercial airline pilot, so fair play.

Sounds similar to a mate of mine. Except he designed weapon systems (not the firsts obviously but the ongoing modifications) for fighter jets. He now is also a commercial pilot for BA. Has said it's been fairly difficult time with less flights to pilot ratio but did concede that he could also pick up cargo based work. Yet still more pilots than their are flights currently.

PS5 Reveal happened today. Prices are respectable actually. £449 Disc Version £359 for digital only version.
I'm not attached to owning discs, so the digital version will do me just fine.

I didn't watch the whole revel but will do tomorrow so might write a bit more.

Interesting £450 will be squeezable for several but weird sales environment for larger purchases. Content yep but unit. I wonder if Sony have factored in the pandemic for a potential lul initially of units to be sold?  Hmmm

Seems my £550 actually will be with the Dual Sense so not as bad as initially feared. Super loyal will by regardless but it may take some time for units to shift quicker than previous gens.

I think £359 for the digital version is a bargain. Gaming is a digital industry these days. No need for discs unless you want to flip them once you finish.

Digital only is fine if you only buy new releases - an absolute con if you don’t though. A friend wanted to buy an assassins creed game - £20 secondhand or £45 on the Microsoft store

the only issue I have with the digital versions of games is that they always seem more expensive than the disc version which is strange as you would imagine that with no process to manufacture a disc the costs would be less.

I think there is some kind of law or tax reason why digital versions can't be sold for less than physical copies. Similar situation with e-books.

Imagine if they could, retailers would go bust overnight.

(What a boring post!!)
