I Die a lot in Elite. Started to play Solo to try to get away from the griefers that run around the starter systems...

In other news, I know there's some World of Tanks fans on here, is the Warplanes version any good?

Balls. Used to play Tanks on the Xbox, might have a nose at Warships then.

As a sort of in-between gaming mode, look into joining the private group 'Mobius' It has 15,000 members and it has a no player on player kill rule (unless in a conflict zone)

I really want to get Elite for Christmas. I've got a decent HOTAS setup, and as it's all good for oculus rift etc I presume that joysticks won't be an issue - do you need a lot of hotkeys?

It will and it won't, it really depends what you're doing. Combat can be quite button intensive if using a keyboard. If just trading then not many at all, same with mining or exploration.

So, over the Christmas period I got Madden 16, WWE 2K16 & Star Wars Battlefront..

Only played the first two (both of which very good), but the latter I've installed but not played. A Star Wars loving friend of mine has said that it's not essential to have seen the movies (which is good because I haven't), and says the game is amazing.. so I'm very much looking forward to trying this one out!

I got Battlefront over xmas too. It doesn't need you to have seen the movies but it makes the experience more enjoyable I think. Enjoying it so far though!

Also finally got Fallout 4 but haven't really had long enough on it to form an opinion yet.

It was between Battlefront and Fallout for me.. I went with the former just due to more hype, so I hope I'm not disappointed.

I fell out with fallout 4. Loved it to begin with but as I played it more too many things irritated me.

My wife still plays Skyrim so there's at least two of you out there.

I've been so skint after Christmas that I've not bought anything in the Steam sale, despite the lure of Euro Truck Simulator and the Scandinavian pack being on sale.

Fallout 4 looks great but I've never got into any of the Fallout games except for New Vegas, not sure why. I'm concerned it won't run on my PC either.
