FM2013. Burton Albion are now in the Premiership and I am currently holding my own (14th).

I have 2 players who are seeking better contracts (deserved), my best striker (Panamanian internationalist) is on 1,300 per week and asking for 20k, but the most I can offer is 10,750k which he won't accept. Any idea how I can get him to accept a lower amount before he requests a transfer?

Try bonuses? Scoring bonus, playing bonus etc That should total it all up to near what he is asking for.

Tried giving him loads for appearances, goals and a hefty signing-on fee? You could also include a minimum release clause, relegation release clause etc

Unfortunately his agent has already got me on loads of bonuses so its the weekly wage which is a sticking point. Its annoying as I am now making a profit of about 6 million a month so I should be able to afford the extra.

Ask the board for an increase wage budget? Or sell some deadwood players and use the transfer money to change the amount for wages?

on FM12 I've just won the Premier League in the 20/21 season, was level on points with Man City but behind on goal difference, had them in the last game but the week before had them in the FA cup final. My RB got sent off in that game but I got it rescinded, lost the FA cup final but beat them 3-0 at the CG to win the league. Very happy, unexpected and best of all the board don't expect me to win it in the coming season either. Won the League Cup too, and semi finals of the Champions League.

Got a couple of wonderkids and one absolute world class player on £97k per week (over 10% of my overall wage bill), paid off my debts, got the CG up to 25k but they won't build a new one as they don't think the support is there Hmmm... sold out every home game apart from the early league cup games.

That'll do!

deadwood players? You cheeky scamp!! I'll have you know I only sign young, hungry players at Burton! I don't have any deadwood! Just players not quite ready for the Premiership who are out on loan.

I have 3 million quid left to spend so I might ask the board to transfer that to wages as I don't really need anyone else (well, a quality Left back would be handy but i'm not going to get one for the cash I have, so my 19 year old regen Irish left back is going to have to learn quickly!

PC types, is this a decent gaming pc in your opinion? http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/view/Vortex-750-gaming-pc/

thinking of adding a 120gb SSD and putting Windows on there, 30 second boot ups sound fun to me Cheesy

is the Vortex build up top a better deal than this one? http://3xs.scan.co.uk/configurator/custom-gaming-pc-uk-3xsgamer15i

Thanks all!

The 3XS has a better graphics card but the PCSpecialist is a better processor.

The 3XS has a much worse motherboard.

The 3XS has a fair bit faster memory.

For £800 I would expect a fair bit more for my money, as I build comparable PC's to both of those for around £100-£150 less than both and I still can price in a cost of making them, also I build them inside 2 to 3 days as 7 to 9 working days is very slow.

And a good SSD will boot into windows in around 15 to 20 seconds easily if set up right.

Can't really add anything to Venks' opinion, but having dealt with PC Specialist before I can say I was very happy with the service - had a couple of minor issues (one of which was sort of my fault...) early on that were sorted out ASAP and I got a free memory stick and complimentary courier service as I spent a fiver on the silver warranty when I purchased my laptop.
