should i buy assasin's creed 1 and 2 for 11 quid? (ps3)

Definitely. The first one gets a bit repetitive but the second one is so much better.

Funny, I just bought Assassin's Creed, because I like to play a series from the beginning. I really like the whole "Animus" concept, but it does feel a bit like endless walking at times. Although being quite engaging scenery, it's not like moving between islands in Just Cause, which can become hatefully boring. All games should have taxis, GTA style.

My boys play it but never walk anywhere. Always full tilt running/galloping and fight everything that gets in your way!

Must say, I fucking loved Elite 2 on the Amiga. Braben has been promising Elite 4 for years and not delivering though so sceptical.

I loved the original Elite on the BBC/Speccy so hoping this will happen.

For me the Elite on the BBC Model B was far better than the Amiga version despite the Amiga having much better graphics.

Agreed - there was a sense of atmosphere and depth with the BBC which wasn't replicated on any otehr platform.

On aside note I've just started playing IL2 Sturmovic.

Has anyone played COD Black Ops 2 yet? Not sure whether to get it or not?

I was going to get it at some point anyway but a read of this has made me want it more.

Me neither, I have gone off the last few editions so wasn't going to bother.

I'm sure I will still end up getting it at some point  Smiley

Got the latest Pro Evo, updated the option file and used my new PS Eye Camera to create the Swindon Town kits. Loving the online master league.

Also Pes2012 on Android has a brilliant touch screen free kick challenge. Very addictive. It's a paid app but is easily found on torrents.

I wonder if Chris Roberts success with funding for his Freelancer style MMO has any bearing on Braben's decision?

http://www.robertsspaceindustries.com/star-citizen/

No doubt about it. Braben could have had this market sown up if he'd of stopped dilly dallying for years.

Looking forward to Star Citizen, looks superb in its early stages and will have no shortage of money.

It is fucking brilliant. The ball physics are amazing, the new tricks are fun and there is a new harder difficulty level. I only get it once every 2 years though, so it's a big jump for me.
