It's all a bit alien for Alassane

ALASSANE N’Diaye is entering unfamiliar territory with his loan spell at Swindon Town, having never played at League One
  level before.

Just a thought, but have we ever signed a decent French player? (I'm including Francophone types here as well)  There's been a few who've looked a bit useful for the odd game, but ultimately have disappointed.

Off the top of my head, I'm thinking Darras, Sabin, Razak, Lesc, Ruster, Diagouraga, Pericard, Nalis Cuervo and Dossevi.....there's probably a few more

How could I have forgotten the Boob....there's usually something quite entertaining about our French players, but when their impact is looked at closely...there isn't much substance.

Didn't Zaaboub get highest assists for the league two season?

Sebastian Ruster....  We sort of signed him.  Whatever happened to him anyway?

Zaaboub was Algerian.

Which makes him Francophone, so for the purposes of the debate he counts. As does the Minge, who I suppose bucks the trend as he was quite consistent

Me too, I thought he did well for us in the brief time he was here and seems to have established a decent career for himself. Although he missed a sitter for Brentford the other night apparently

Cuervo was great until he both injured and balded himself.
