Our defence could really do with a calm, reliable presence like Jerel.

Apparently he aquired the name Jerel Awful in Scotland!

I remember the day he played at Barnsley, dominated the game, then made a 60 yard sprint with the ball down the wing and put a Beckham like cross in! How the mighty fall......

When he had a calm head talking him through the game playing next to him he could often be fantastic, and his pace was a real asset.  Unfortunately as well all know, he was too prone to lapses of concentration and the odd moment of madness.  If he could have learned to stamp that out of his game, and how to play the odd accurate pass, he could have been very, very good.
