To throw my tuppence into the ring Sonic, i'm catching up on a previous episode of gypsy wives:

and listening to this classic in between:

whilst drinking Tescos cider and eating oysters and langoustines in a black bean sauce

I've noticed that there's a link between you posting on the TEF and you drinking cider.

Yep, it's all I can stretch to on the drinking front, but AMEN for Tesco's reduced section, hence the languostines and oysters. Seemed to be a glut of oysters, an aphrodisiac it's said, the uptake on Valentine's must have been slack coz i'm stocked up to the gills. Have a good night all, back to Gypsies wives now!

What are you playing Sonic?

I've done a fair bit of wii goldeneye with a mate recently. I'm not great though. These more cover-based fps take a bit of getting used to. Give me twitchy circle strafing rocket jumps anyday.

I'm engrossed in FM11.

I quite fancy trying GoldenEye on the Wii, I'd be concerned at how shit I would be though....too many years of mouse+keyboard FPS games, I can't hold a controller properly anymore

I quite like the wiimote for fps. pointing the right hand around the screen feels more mousey than a little joystick on your thumb.

Playing with a real world friend has been much more fun than playing random internet people, but it has sort of made me want to try and get him to fish out old original Unreal Tournament (99?) and play that instead.

I just remembered about free browser Q3. I signed up in beta ages ago. Is it still there? (I'll find out)

I still play Q3 and UT2004 sometimes.

Quakelive is still there, not tried it for ages but it was 'ok' when it first got released

Yeah. Think I played about with it and then forgot.

I could just go and see if I can fish out the cd instead of waiting for this fucking content update on my shit internet connection before I can play. I just have fuck all idea where it is. Not sure where my UT cds are either. Although I swear I picked it up a spare copy from a charity shop for a quid fairly recently. Don't remember seeing it about though. Possibly left it in the pub.

Were the later UTs any good? I played the fuck out of 99 but never bothered with the later ones.

I liked 2K4. Not really tried the last few. I don't seem to buy any games except FM nowadays.

I keep meaning to watch misfits, it seems to always be on my list but never quite near the top, think I got as far as to download most the first series at some point but still never got around to watching it.

I'm on Breaking Bad at the moment, onto the second series. Pretty cool. You'd like it Spy. It's about a high school chemistry teacher with terminal cancer who makes really good Crystal Meth to pay for his treatment. Not too spoiled I hope.

I've ended up spending an hour listening to music on youtube that I already have on mp3. I think that's a sign I should go to bed.

Night.

Definitely check out Misfits Ben. It's the most original and best acted thing I've seen in ages. Top quality sci fi.

I'll look into that breaking bad thing.
