Wonder if Exeter wanted the game to go ahead but Wilson and Co refused or had a word with the Ref.

Hitchin Red was saying that when he arrived, some of the Exeter staff said that the Ref and Tisdale,
were willing to play but Wilson wanted it called off.

The club statement would suggest, that the pitch was indeed unfit.

If the ref says it's fine then the managers have no say, right?

And I'd imagine the legal advice would be against whichever company are paid to maintain the pitch.

I should imagine that the threat of 'legal action' is probably against the company that laid the pitch
or the turf suppliers.

The ref makes a decision on whether the pitch is safe for the players....the managers may have a nosey around with him but they wont get a say i shouldn't think.

Yes it's down to the Ref, as to the pitch being playable or not.

Got to chuckle at them taking advice. BBC Local News showed a close up of the pitch and in areas it was completely saturated. Wilson's entitled to say what he thinks - it's the refs decision.

Maybe the papers in Devon are struggling for news in the same way the Adver are with misplaced matress headlines.

I have to say I'm surprised and disappointed no-one's blamed Wilson for the rain.

I just had a look at the comments section on Thisis for the first time today and surprise, surprise, some of them are
having a go at Danny Wilson with regards to the postponement. Beggars belief.

Do they think he ran round the pitch peeing on it or something?
