What the fuck is it with this club. So we haven't officially signed them? Why can't we have the pictures of Cureton and Thorpe sitting in the Arkells with a Swindon shirt each with quotes saying how happy they are to sign for us. Instead we get King saying that he reckons they'll turn up tomorrow morning.
Maybe this is me just being pessimistic but in my book it yet again highlights a certain unprofessionalism at the club.
Also maybe it's just a badly written internet article.

It's because they can't officially sign until tomorrow. Shakes, Comyn-Platt, Cureton, Thorpe and Smith will all sign tomorrow after thier contracts have ran out. Some damn good signings I think.  |

I've just a real bad case of not counting my chickens, nothing ever runs smoothly at this club. Just hope it all goes to plan tomorrow. Still it would have been nice to have a player with new shirt pic, would help erase the memory of the Grant Smith avec Brizzle shirt pic.

very true. but if they hadn't announced any deals at all (including the Shakes & Platt) imagine how all the fans would be reacting. 2 weeks and no signings and all we hear is players are on the way. We would be going mad. Even worse than this morning |

It's the same as we've done in the past with players like Nicholas and Evans.... When you've just signed two players who've been top scorer in this division I think you have to be pretty happy with that! Cureton's managed 28 goals in a season before and Thorpe's scored 31! Cureton is also one of my all time legendary players on championship manager, once managing about 40 goals in a season. |
