We could have beaten Dale - Flint

ADEN Flint was disappointed not to crown his Town debut with three points after the County Ground side drew 1-1 with Rochdale.

I assume he means Alfreton could have done. Because Town were nowhere near good enough

I'm inclined to say "Well, why the fuck didn't you?"

To be fair, if you actually read the interview he answers that question quite clearly.

We need to stop blaming players for the Adver's headlines. They seem to be on a bit of a wind up.

Totally agree Spence. They seem to take a quote, extrapolate what somebody might have been thinking when they said it, and turn it into a sensationalised headline. It's a shame they feel the need to go all tabloid - perhaps they just do it because they like to have a good laugh at the comments they get?

They definately enjoy winding them up. But I think their writers do get wound up themselves by the comments. Especially when the commenters are picking holes in the accuracy/punctuation of the article.

Just read the comments under the article - that lot must have loved Andy King, all they want is a defender up front all the time.
