would never boo a swindon town player during a game. i agree that he trys hard but it cannot hide the fact that swindon town supporters (and the crowds have remained decent) deserve better than that.
I wouldn't boo Dossevi, simply because he's giving 100%. Its not his fault he's ineffective, its the managers for signing sub standard players based on trial/pre-season games. Having said that every manager does it. Look at Ifil at Aberdeen as a recent town player that flattered to deceive in a trial. We all get fooled, there were significant numbers calling for him to be signed after the pre-season trial game against Forest. I didn't see that game so was disappointed when I saw him play. But I do remember Todds pre-season and our good performances against Saints and West Ham - thought we'd do well that season

wonder if people wouild still be moaning if his goal against muff counted IF.....such a little word that means so much. Lots of older pros play well to get that contract then find it hard to keep that level of performance up every game. Showed the odd glimpse of what he used to be about in his younger days....fact is his confidence is shattered...you could blame the fans...i would be inclined to blame the management...he isn't a striker...end of.

I've seen precious few glimpses in all of the home games this season. Can't fault his effort but the ability doesn't seem to be there. I can't believe that its a temporary confidence thing as I didn't see many such glimpses in the early games, though he does look to be getting more frustrated as evidenced by the niggly fouls he's giving away lately.

Feel sorry for him really, he works hard but would probably be better out on the wing

the only reason he isn't given pelters is due to his effort. i dont like being critical of players as i want them all to do well, but i have seen nothing from the bloke. he really is terrible. can we fuck him off in the summer,or is he on a longer contract?

He seems totally unsuited to English football. He conceedes free kicks all the time because he looks at the man before jumping instead of the ball. He doesnt know how to use his body.
He scored that great header against Forest pre season. But if I remmember correctly there wasnt a Forest defender anywhere near him. A typical example of how signing players who look good in friendly/reserve games can turn out to be a right clanger.
I defended his performance at Bournemouth. But not yesterday. Poor.

I wouldn't piss on half the inhabitants of the town end if they were on fire.

From the Town End it sounds like the rest of the ground is a cardboard murial, which would be much more likely to burn?

whats it exactly about the Town End you like so much? The shit view, or the inbreds who frequent it? -
We used to stand there years ago, but i douldnt even imagine going back in there now - did so last season for the Norwich game just to please a pal I went with, but never again. Not being able to get any perspective on the play once it crosses the halfway line toward the SB every week would drive me nuts

I feel it beats sitting in both the stands that have the atmosphere of a mortuary.........tried them both and got to say at least the majority of the Town End actually vocally support the team....unlike the other stands who sit there in suspended animation...grumbling there displeasure. Of course the view is incredibly shite as you mention.

Not being persecuted by stewards for standing up. Simple as that. We tried to stick it out in the south stand from 2005-10. But I cant understand how a stand with 3000 people in it can be so quiet. Then all you hear are the moaners. Even when we are playing well.

Half time vs Exeter reminded me why I do love the Town End. I spent the whole of half time laughing and dodging footballs. But the silence is spreading there too, I know it's down to nervousness cos half the time I'm too busy worrying about whats going to happen next to even think about singing.
