Doesn't watch where the ball is being passed and his movement off the ball is diabolical too. Just doesn't read the game at all on the pitch

Am sitting on the fence..he has potential but never shows the killer touch of a striker...if only Pericard could look as interested and comitted as Dossevi then perhaps we could get some goals...But, Christ he is not a Shaun Close, please god not another Shaun Close Suicide Suicide Suicide

Well done to Benyon.....

Rose made some howling errors...

why dont you all just go round his house and give him a kicking, put him out of his missery, yes he has not performed but nor have all the other cunts on the pay roll, one thing is for sure is he always puts in 100% which is more than can be said for most of the twats, rant over Sad

If he was putting in 100% and thats all he has to show for it, that sort of proves how utter shite he really is.

I think considering the service today it'd be hard to say benyon was any good, yes he scored but over 90 minutes i wouldn't say there was much between him and dossevi

he's clearly up front to hassle people and try to link the play, which considering we try to miss out midfield via a hoof is a pretty tough ask for someone who's not played up front for his entire career.

the fact we continued to try and hoof the ball even though we were playing with a gale either behind or in our faces should concern people more

I felt sorry for Benyon, difficult conditions and fuck all service, add to that a clueless strike partner he done well to end the day with a goal. More to come from him I'm sure as long as Wilson signs a decent target man.

As for Dossevi, the only reason he hasn't recieved the 'Pericard treatment' is because he actually tries, but surely that excuse won't last for long because he is out of his depth.

He doesnt know how to jump for headers

True, which is ironic as the only time I've seen him score was a header against daggers.

So half you cunts were booing him today??!

Fucking hell, the bloke is trying. Moaning at him isn't going to do him any good is it?! We've got Obi-won-Kanobi coming in on tuesday who will probably start with Benyon, so there's no need to get on a players back. He's putting the effort in which is more to say about some players.

Have to say I am more siding with the minority here

Out of his depth - yes
Not the greatest reader of the game - yes
Annoyingly naive at getting himself back onside before attempting to go for the ball - yes
Tendency to lead with the elbow when jumping - yes
tendency to give away too many fouls trying to get the ball back - yes.

But as others have pointed out, you cannot fault the guy for effort - when showed up in huge letters today against half a dozen other notables, who attempted to go missing for long periods.

Until we have anything better, I would rather see Dossevi out there than Pericard any day of the week. he also seems less bothered by being booed than VP.
i like him, but I feel sorry for him - he just isnt quite good enough in the position we are in to make the difference - if we were a winning team I could see him starring every week. His commitment and positive attitude and tireless running for the cause cannot be faulted. Other more gifted players on our team should look and learn

I didn't hear any booing in the SB end of the Don Rogers. Most of the shit and booing came from the Town End.

would never boo a swindon town player during a game. i agree that he trys hard but it cannot hide the fact that swindon town supporters (and the crowds have remained decent) deserve better than that.

hopefully Jon Obika can hit the ground running next to Benyon but i'd still be looking to bring in another striker as well as Obika

I think it's only fair and decent that a thread is created to single out a players that obviously try but to no avail. It's dead annoying when Pericard is out as we cannot channel our hate and frustration at him... The knobhead.

I find it hard to believe that TD is a league footballer, even more hard to believe that he's won 25 international caps.
In the whole season of home games his finish against Colchester is just about the only moment of good class play that he has displayed.
That is outbalanced by far by countless offside discretions, petulant unncessary fouls, being pushed off the ball far too easily, poor ball control, ineffective distribution and shocking positional sense.
I can't fault his effort but he seems like a headless chicken and appear to have little footballing nowse.
My view, from early on this season, which is amplified every match is that no way is Thomas a League 1 footballer, but clearly Danny thinks differently so perhaps I'm missing something.
We need a replacement for TD ....and fast as time will start to run out for us and we need someone to support Benyon up-front.
