A lot of people questioned why our new striker did not play at Bournemouth, as we know he was signed too late for registration to be eligible until this weekend.  Torquay played his replacement, Jake Robinson (ex Shrewsbury) on tuesday evening.  Apparently that has now been declared illegal (signed too late to be registered) and they are likely to be deducted three points!!  And they actually lost the game 3-1!!   Embarrassed Embarrassed

Someone's head should be on a plate for that. Either the football secretary for not noticing or the manager for not taking any notice of the football secretary

It's stupid that the transfer deadline and registration deadline don't coincide with one another.

That's the real point. Why is a bit of paperwork so bloody important. He was their player so why can't they play him. Bloody bureaucrats do my head in

Oooh blimey that's a bit harsh. When I said "head on a plate" I think I should have said "rap on the knuckles" - it's a cock-up, and a pretty big one, but seems a bit OTT to have someone losing their job over it. I was thinking more along the lines of having to wear donkey ears for a week

If football secretary a full time paid position at a club like Torquay? They're probably relieved not to have the hassle anymore.

Though having said that, it's not like they'd be rushed off their feet now we've got the transfer window.

Be surprised if Torquay got more than a small fine and a telling off, seeing as they lost the game.
