That depends whether Shakes and Comyn Platt are included in the three players or not, if they aren't that would be 5 signings plus another two, maybe including one or two loanees, along with a couple of youth players making the step up and the squad would be a similar size to before.
I'll be happy enough if that's the case but I still don't see it as being sufficient unless we are again lucky with injuries/suspensions or bring in a few versatile players that can provide adequate cover in areas.
Shakes looks to be a good start. Striker, winger and central midfielder a few more like that and it will be a step in the right direction.
Looking at the past two seasons particularly the season before last loan players brought in mid-way had a very big impact particularly Ifill and Lewis who ended that terrible run of games against Port Vale. Overall it was the bulk of the squad that achieved but short term loans have definitely made a big impact and difference to the side. Even at times if just raised peoples games it had the right effect.
Hopefully loan players will be season long or 3 months at a time.
Not sure what the ruling will be for extension of a loan in the transfer window, anyone know?
