Danny Wilson has to be given more time. He's earned it. He came here when we were heading to League 2 he bought in some good players, he saved us from relegation, he then built a side that played magnificently last season which included doing the double over Leeds and Southampton, a side that got to the Play Off Final at Wembley and within 90 minutes of The Championship. He's made mistakes both in the transfer market and on the pitch, he human get over it, which manager hasn't.

Don't let the last 6 months overshadow the previous 18 months.

The players have to have a long good look at themselves, they have been pathetic this season.

Wilson in.

And two years on we are no better off heading to league 2

Cuthbert, Ferry, Douglas, JPM have all been under par this season compared with last season.

Thats 4

well done !

Lets get this straight then

Cuthbert - Obviously missing a leader type figure to play alongside

Douglas - disagree with you, a lot of the time he is the only one who looks as though he gives a shit

Ferry - When has he been given a fucking chance this season ?

JPM - Played out of position so many fucking times

carry on .................

Regardless of how poor the performance may or may not have been, there's no fucking point in singing "you're nit fit to wear the shirt" to the 10 men who were on the pitch.

I didn't sing, the DRS don't do that! But I don't agree with you.

Its an age old argument and usually ends up with arguments some players may get the kick up the arse they need and some may go into their shell. So I won't draw it out.

Austin has done well this season (mostly)

Lucas, Greer, Amankwha/Derby, Ferry, Sheehan, Ward, Paynter aren't playing much or have moved on.

Must be all Cuthbert, Douggie and JPMs fault then.

They have all under performed this season. I said in my earlier post that Wilson is to blame also. His signings this season haven't seemed to have worked, when you look at Ball and Dossevi (even though he hasn't played that much, he isn't convincing) and Prutton who even though hasn't been our worse player this season has not been consistent enough.

I don't think sacking Wilson is the answer I honestly don't.

i agree with mrverve to a point.but the buck stops with the manager though.
there are a number of reasons why it is shit this year i believe.
the players being shit, the new signings being shit, and the manager being shit covers it all i think.....

Just got back. Not happy at all. If i'm being honest ive reached the final straw with Wilson. We won't turn the corner. We're shite. Even with 11 men we were never going to win that game. It was poor from start to finish and we never looked like we wanted anything from the game. Surely now Wilson has run has course? Dont get me wrong he did an amazing job last season but time has run out for him. We are struggling and the players clearly dont want to play for him anymore.

Call me depressed all you want. I dont care. For the first time in over a season today I lost my rag in the Town End. The difference this time is that people agreed with me. Sort it out Fitton before it's too late.

It doesn't...Wilson has to operate within the strategy laid down by the Board, which is to acquire young players and sell them on or in the case of Greer, not offer a long contract so sell him on.

However this is the strategy designed to avoid the mess we've got into previously...some might not like it, but it seemingly wont change.

Any new manager will also have to operate within this framework....people talk of Johnson but he fell out at Posh over the McLean move...

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Mr Fitton has high regard for Paul Trollope.

Christ you can feel everyone's anger tonight.

That comment in an earlier post about Sheehan and JPM being ready to walk was funny.  JP has been largely awful, and is only occasionally getting in the team on the basis of last season's form and for his crossing ability.  I wouldn't be sad if he went.  Sheehan has been in and out of the team because of injuries and his temperament.  We are in a similar league position now to when he joined.  He was a free agent when we signed him and I didn't see a queue forming for his signature.  I like him and he has undoubted quality, but he can have no complaints.

Put simply Dossevi, Pericard, Rose, AOB and Timlin aren't good enough and need to go.  For me Dossevi was a panic buy.  JPM, Prutton, Ferry, Lucas and Amankwaah have all had frequent patches of poor form and been horribly inconsistent.  Dougie and Cuthbert are playing below last seasons standard.  Caddis has looked OK but he ain't a RB and he ain't a right winger either.  Basically Jack Smith Mark II.

We need 4 or 5 players pronto.  Although I expect we'll fuck around waiting for the perfect deal, and the perfect player.  We never do a quick deal, everything is protracted.  Hopefully we can achieve a respectable finish this season and build for next year.  All the play off talk is bollocks.  This season is already over.

in the build up to the goal today - their striker was effectively raping cuthbert as the ball goes into the box. he's backed in so much cuthbert probably fancied a fag after, not to try and stop the ensuing pinball.

on those grounds i demand the goal be struck off and we get 1 point

It was Ferry, and I shouldn't have put it as it was a stupid rumour. Sorry to have upset you on that Smiley

Other than that I largely agree. Though the season isn't over if we don't buck up.

I don't think we will see lots of signings though unless Charlie goes for big money, we have surely spent quite a bit (with wages) on Ritchie, Ferry, Caddis and Sheehan to name a few.
