Is he?  Surprised he isn't a regular starter in a strugglng side, perhaps he would do much better at championship level.

I think he's been fucked over by management changes really.  Bought by Mowbray (I think) who liked him as a player, then di matteo took over and bought in his own people as has hodgson.  Just needs a break at the moment really.

Maybe, but he's not had a decent run in the WBA side, and consequently not yet proven himself in the Prem.

Wonder if Coxy could be tempted back on loan. I know he will probably be looking at championship level, but given the history ??

What sort of money did we pay for him, presumably a big signing on bonus, but was there anything to QPR? I think it was reported as a "free".  If really so he might be offloaded on the cheap just to free up the wages.

QPR cancelled his contract so it was a freebie with signing-on fee.

Timlin obviously won't make it under Di Canio for whatever reasons, under another manager I'm sure he'd be a perfectly capable player for us so I wish him well.

Clarke should be told to go train on his own in the gym and look for a club himself, if he were to be welcomed back because he scored goals for Chesterfield then that would seriously undermine a lot of the work Di Canio has done. Plus he's a cunt.

I hope this is true.

He's had several managers here and failed to become a first team regular. He should have moved on long ago for his own career. How many of us can say that mind.

Nothing against Timlin mind, I hope he does well as long as it isn't at our expense.

Never thought we'd get cash for Timlin, let alone £50k. Great deal.

If we've had several enquires for Clarke, can we expect a similar/better fee?

With the amount of goals he has scored for a relegation battling team in League One should see him worth more. I know we want rid but I cant see the board mugging themselves off over it just to ship him out. Think what Austin was worth. I know Clarke is no Austin but his League one career has had a similar start. Id say £150k Minimum £500k Max.

Agreed, we will be lucky to get between £50k and £100k for him maximum.
