Tonight...at Vicarage Road.....undersoil heating so the match will go ahead.
Tough match as Watford have a Premiership style youth set up......it would be nice to get another good FA Youth Cup run going.

Watford are the sort of club, we should be.

Up until a few years back we'd played them more times than anyone else, they were like us a traditional 3rd tier club.  But in the ten years we've stagnated they've made a bit of progress....academy status shows this.

And like us nearly went out of business last season. Not really a model anyone should use as a blueprint IMO.

Watford recent past is definitely not without major financial cock up, but they are certainly in stronger position than us. It may well be 10 more years before we start to see any progress from the present strategy.

The only reason Watford are a league above us is because Lord Ashcroft has pumped a few mil in there.

They've been badly managed off the pitch for several years now, and I don't think it'll be long before we're playing them regularly again.

Selling players like Ashley Young always helps the bank balance too.
