Following Saturday it's all blown up a little, with the abuse he received making the national press (in the sun) and forcing DW into publicly backing his player again in today's adver. For those who are interested, my latest blog also looks at the issue. Feel free to comment, so long as it's nice. http://www.football.co.uk/blogs/5009/1526806.shtml

What are The Sun saying about it?
It reflects very badly on us as supporters.

The Sun got Charlie's views on it. Just included in their match report about how he was jeered off.

I would like to think that none of the Club Red members were involved in the booing. I certainly wasn't.
I suspect that it was season ticket holders, and pay-on-the-gate fans.

On behalf of Bangkok Red, myself and all other ex-pat fans it wasn't us.

One thing people are missing is Pericard is the one who keeps saying how many goals he will score etc he came here and said i will get x amount of goals by the end of the season and then earlier on he is telling everyone how Charlie will have to wait to get back in the team due to his great performances.
Don't get me wrong the booing is stupid and won't help but if he came out like Heskey does and says look i know i don't score many but i bring other stuff to the team instead of always saying i will score x amount of goals and then not deliver then people would understand.
As for people saying well he is that type of paynter player we need the big difference is Paynter scored goals.
9/10 fans want to see him succeed but when you look half assed sometimes and are on a decent wage you get pissed off. When he is holding the balls up playing it out wide i want to see him bust a fucking gut to get in the box but he doesn't. There is something wrong when every ball in the box is being won by Austin and even Richie when we have someone like Pericard who should be causing defenders problems in the box and not just on the half way line.

Maybe he's been told not to bust a gut to get in the middle to draw the defenders out and leave space for richie and austin?

Stop trying to think with your head, and use the pea sized brain in your arse like the rest of us!

Mr Rogers shop, it's not the people who want him to do well that are being discussed though. It's the people who spend the entire game spitting blood at him, proper hatred. The only really important fact is that we do not have a problem scoring goals when Pericard is playing in the team. Who cares who is getting them, we can debate opinions, but with Pericard in the team it seems to work going forward.
On Saturday, the problem in the team was still at the back, why no booing of Morrison or ironic applause when he cut the through ball out for a change or marked his man? (I clearly do not think anyone should)

I'm saying the booing is wrong full stop just sayin he doesn't help himself at times. Dave instead of the stupid snide shit you say about maybe he is basically told not to just think before being clever. if you think for 1 minute wilson would rather our shortest player on the end of a cross instead of vince you are mad.

I wasn't trying to be clever or snide. - Wilson realises austin is more of a goal threat than vince - (For now at least) opposition see vince, think "ooooh, a big target man, better mark him tightly from crosses" - Vince being out of danger naturally pulls these center backs away, or at least ensures their thoughts are pre-occuppied with his lurking presence - Either results in CB's not fully concentrated on austin, allowing him to take advantage and score OR - CB's not in the 'dangerzone' to deal with austin when the ball gets in. It's simple this football lark.

This is getting silly now.
A small but not insignificant amount of fans act like mongs. Then people over compensate for them by decrying outrage and labling Vince as the new mesiah*. Then the press get hold and blow it even more out of proportion. * I made that up
Can we go back to normaility please. This is getting stupid. The less impressed should go back to cussing him under thier breath.
Thanks.

What about raising eyebrows and looking skywards? See, that being silent won't knock his confidence and the eyebrow raisers will be able to take their eyes off the alleged inept performance.
Simple, this ranting lark.

10 a season on average for his first two seasons in 72 games - are you saying Peri doesn't help himself cause he won't manage ten goals this season? Not if he's booed out of the club, I grant you...
