Luton away, Simon (ZDS?) Cup SEmi (?). Bamber clean through on goal and stops and kicks ball away as he though he was offside!

I was there and remember that - some cunt in the Luton end blowing a whistle made him stop and think it was the ref blowing for offside

This was the first one that I thought of. It is still painful after all these years to watch it. Can't believe it. It was right in front of the Swinon end too. I was right up at the back of the stand and we all heard the whistle. There were also calls out on the tannoy for people not to use the whistle iirc.

Cant believe that we didnt win that game and didnt go on to win the cup. It really had our name on it that year. We were absolute class.
