Well ,coming down to your stadium on saturday ,weather permitting of course and was wondering before I get wrapped up like a eskimo is that as your pitch got under soil heating and where is the best pub for the away supporters,we are selling tickets well at the moment so should be a decent crowd,,UTO. Danny Wilson when he was the manager at my wednesday was very poor in buying players ,wim jonk, andy hinchcliffe, gerald sibon and gilles de bilde,,,,,,,,,,all very good internationals but could he get them to play together,,could he eck,,,but is he doing a reasonable job for you ,,,not bad would be my reply,,,,good luck for the rest of the season apart when you play the nighty OWLS.

Hello there. No i'm afraid we don't have under soil heating, just some pitch covers.
The Merlin is a good pub for away fans.

No under soil heating. The pitch is covered but we'll see. Also only the Arkell's Stnd has a roof. The other away area Stratton Bank (Adkin's family stand) is in the open so if you are in there I hope your Eskimo clothing is waterproof too. Wilson has brought in some decent players for us. Just having trouble integrating/accommodating them all.

Hi.....the pitch is the best in the lge...the whole league that is,though the weather is meant to be getting worse so have to wait later in the week...rarely get games called off now. There are plenty of pubs that welcome away supporters....The Bulldog is one not far from the ground...and a few in the Town centre if your not a big crowd. Keep away from the County Ground Hotel next to the ground as its mainly home supporters. If its just you and a friend the Tap and Barrell in Manchester Road is just two mins from the ground...but a bit dodgy getting in if a large group. We have beaten Hudds,Bristol Rovers,Southampton and Colchester at home...no doubt we will be up for the challenge against you.........we struggle against the lesser teams. Who knows we may draw you in the cup later!

I'd avoid the Tap and stick to the Merlin/Harvester/Bulldog.

Tell anyone you know going on the bank to get an extra layer on or 3.
We dont want our Stratton Bank safety certificate revoked cos a few numpties turn up in t shirts and get pneumonia.

How many will you lot bring? Our crowds are good this season and we're averaging just under 9,000.
I would expect a gate of about 10k to 11k for this.

What a question. Everyone knows Wednesday never bring less than 300,000 to an away game.

Back in the 90's (when Town seemed to play on Sunday every other week), I used to go & watch Wednesday games with a Wednesday supporting mate. In fact, we travelled away to their first game in the UEFA cup in 1992 away to Spora Luxembourg (I did wear a Town shirt so it's OK ). Having won the home leg 8-1, there wasn't an awful lot riding on the away game but there were still about 3000 Wednesday fans at the second leg. I think it's fair to say that they do usually travel in quite good numbers
