Things like this evolve spontaneously if they are going to at all. Attempting consciously to manufacture a terrace anthem isn't going to work.
This After trying to manufacture a club song for all to sing along to, don't forget to bring song sheets and a drum, and speak to the club to see if they can play some piped clapping through the PA. Failing that, just go to games, get pissed, have a laugh and see what happens.

Agree.... never going to happen.
I really don't like the "Wise Men Say" song... it seemed to spring out of nowhere sometime in the mid-nineties and so many other teams sing it.... Woking fans even sang it when they came to the CG.
Many years ago, "The Farmer's Boy" was a bit of a STFC terrace anthem - it was one of the marches of the old Wiltshire Regiment:

Ive' been thinking recently (dangerous!) and it would be nice if the fans had a unique song to sing for the team, one that we sang that no one else sings etc. I've listed a few clubs and their songs below to give you an idea of what I mean... Southampton: When the saints go marching in West Ham: I'm forever blowing bubbles Millwall: No one likes us (and why the fuck do you think that is?) Celtic/Liverpool: You'll never walk alone Huddersfield: Those were the days my friend Leeds: MOT (some song about a broken car... I dunno!)The closest you could argue for us (that would be unique) to something along those lines that springs to mind is possibly "Rockin Robin" which is a bit shit!! If it weren't already such a popular tune, I'd love to see us get something a touch catchy like Tom Hark (you're only here to watch the town etc!). Opinions...? Ideas? (other than that I am a cunt? I'm alrady aware of that one! ) Goodnight Irene - Bristol Rovers Blue Moon - Manchester City On the ball, City - Norwich City Singin' the blues Birmingham City Bladon races - Newcastle United And please, It's "Can't help falling in love with you", Not "Wise men say"

Can't help falling in love with you is our song wether people sing along when its played or not.....anything but black eyed peas or eminem before a game anyway, terrible choice. I've always said an edited clean 'fuckin' in the bushes' by oasis would be a good pumped up tune to come out to.

I actually do really like "Can't help falling in love with you" and I too have no idea where it sprung from around about 93-94 when we started singing it.
I love it when its sung well but then the clapping starts and it speeds up and is totally ruined.
As for Farmers Boy, I would love to hear the ground singing that, its very distinct and has heritage for the club and county but will it catch on? mmmm doubt it, unfortunatly.

I heard the Palace fans singing that non-stop away at Preston a few weeks ago, absolute quality song...would love if we had a version of it.

Other than CHFILWY, I really like Forever and ever, we'll follow our team.. What with all the winding up orders and bouts of admin, "we'll never die, we'll never die" seems quite apt.
