Ive' been thinking recently (dangerous!) and it would be nice if the fans had a unique song to sing for the team, one that we sang that no one else sings etc. I've listed a few clubs and their songs below to give you an idea of what I mean... Southampton: When the saints go marching in West Ham: I'm forever blowing bubbles Millwall: No one likes us (and why the fuck do you think that is?) Celtic/Liverpool: You'll never walk alone Huddersfield: Those were the days my friend Leeds: MOT (some song about a broken car... I dunno!)The closest you could argue for us (that would be unique) to something along those lines that springs to mind is possibly "Rockin Robin" which is a bit shit!! If it weren't already such a popular tune, I'd love to see us get something a touch catchy like Tom Hark (you're only here to watch the town etc!). Opinions...? Ideas? (other than that I am a cunt? I'm alrady aware of that one! )

Before someone says it, I'm aware that everyone sings "oh when the [reds/blues/whites] go marching in", but it's a song which if you think of, you associate to Southampton...

We did start the Wise Men Say song, but as with all good songs other teams have used it as well.

erm... wise men say? EDIT: They used to play this before games, and did again last season but no one sang it and that would be the same.

erm... wise men say? Good shout but as Jutty posted above, everyone in the world sings that, and no one associates it with us at all?

We should really get something like that going (at least from the Town End if nothing else) again... maybe the solution is to try getting the club to play the tune for us more to sing to? :-P Oh and I wasn't listing all of the songs, just a few to give examples ;-) Hi Ho Wolverhampton is a good example yes... :-)

Things like this evolve spontaneously if they are going to at all. Attempting consciously to manufacture a terrace anthem isn't going to work.

Maybe a disney song seeing as we're twinned with them love it...
The thing is when they're singing "mickey mouse [low], mickey mouse[high]", I can actually imagine "swindon town" fitting into that... lets not go down that route! Valid point about not manuacturing songs tho...

Before someone says it, I'm aware that everyone sings "oh when the [reds/blues/whites] go marching in", but it's a song which if you think of, you associate to Southampton... I suspect St Mirren and St Johnstone fans sing this as well, and probably welsh team The New Saints. Certainly not unique to Southampton.
