The snowdome was surely back in the days of Terry Brady....we could have probably been in there by now if Brady had hung around. Personally I'm happier still being in the CG.

I thought it was an entirely separate council-based thingy. Seem to remember JT talking about it a couple of years ago in relation to Oasis rebuild

The snowdome was gonna be on the old Claires warehouse sight at northstar. The plans included an ice pad too, which would've replaced the rink at the Link. However, I've heard nothing about it for over a year, and in that time a proposal for a snowdome in bristol has been turned down, but has been moved to Weston and is apparently likely to get the go ahead. That'll probably be the final nail in an already closing coffin for a Swindon snowdome!

You're probably right...the fact that it involved SBC and that cunt John Terry, is probably why it escaped my attention.

I can think of much better ways for the council to piss money up the wall than a giant fake snowy hill

hardly pissing money up the wall, the snowzone in mk makes a mint, before Hemel there were people travelling from Brighton on week nights just for a couple of hours of riding, add to that the bowling, cinema, bars, club, restaurants - it's a goldmine.

First I've heard of a Snowdome being built in Weston, but it appears to have some substance http://www.thewestonmercury.co.uk/news/snow_dome_heading_for_weston_1_705773
