You're out... but not dropped

DANNY Wilson insists he is not “dropping” any of Town’s players for tonight’s League One clash against Charlton, despite admitting changes in personnel could be made.

About time Smith got a chance this season, did nothing to lose the shirt in the first place but Lucas got given it back as soon as he was fit, Lucas has been liability for the most part this season which is a shame after last season. I bet most of our fans though feel "more comfortable "with Lucas in goal though.

Not only should he be given a chance, but if he actually takes it - he should keep the shirt.

So has smith. And Smith's minutes played to cock-up ratio is far lower than lucas's this season. If lucas plays tonight what sort of message does that send to the rest of the players? The same one if morrison gets dropped over cuthbert - some players are undroppable, despite performances.

Most of our starting 11 need a kick up the backside. Swanning around living off past glorys

You can't drop a keeper for one mistake, but Lucas has been making major mistakes all over the place recently. Smith has done ok when he has played so it's time to make the change and give him a chance to prove he should keep playing.

Sure you have your preferred players in each position but when they consistently under perform you have to drop them.

Smith has done brilliantly and did so last year when called upon, No player should be untouchable as you say, but when Smith was doing well earlier this season he should have kept him in, simply analysis says if it ain't broke, don't fix it. DW is obviously under some pressure (from some narrow minded fans) now to turn it around, we dont want to fall back of the pack so something has to change. Frampton and Smith could be those 2 pieces of the puzzle. I didn't go to Yeovil however I beleive Frampton will shore up the backline and we have been scoring enough goals, if we can hold the ball up better in midfield I think we will be getting back to where we were last season.

Off the top of my head lucas' mistakes leading to goals this season:

yeovils goal at weekend
plymouths goal when he cam rushing out needlessly
walsalls goal when he punched like a flid
beat at his near post against leyton orient
woeful clearance for one of the peterbrough goals

Can't remember any from smith, thats not to say there might not be any
