ok before, when we had parkin, he bagged the goals for us and it was always "it would be nice if so and so could get a few more goals" but didnt matter that much because parkin could always pop up with a goal.
now he's gone, our lack of goals from anywhere but the front two (one actually, the one being him) will be highlighted i recon, especially with the departure of smith, howard AND igoe, our only sources of goals and infact any sort of creativity in midfeild (considering migs may aswell be dead).
we all know that we probably wont be able to get anyone as good as parkin in at the moment, so our midfeild now has to have some sort of point, unlike last year.
then i realised our midfeild for next year is, migs, pook :? , jenkins :? , shakes :? . now to me that sounds utterly shit. even shitter than jews.
im thinking perhaps we shouldnt just think "parkin's gone lets make sure we sign the best striker we can and use all the money and he might be good" when we could just look for a striker who adds something different to the two just above average ability strikers we have in fallon and roberts who can probably do a good enough job and concentrate on the midfeild.
i think it would be a much better idea if king looked to add creativity, goals and steal to the midfield with the parkin money. difficult? of course it is, that's no reason to not attempt it, if it wasnt difficult everyone would have brilliant midfeilds
think back to the best teams in this division in the last few years, they all had goals a plenty from midfeild
plymouth - friio, capaldi wigan - teale hull - elliot, barmby cardiff - kavanagh QPR- rowlands, mcleod luton- nicholls, brkovic
anyway you get my drift, the best teams always have a gem in their midfeild and with the loss of chunk, shorty and cuntface, our midfeild lacks everything and to be honest looks a total shambles.
fuck the strikers, plymouth had average strikes when they went up in the form of evans, lowndes and keith, luton had howard (ok he's good, but he's essentially a targetman) that other bloke and showumni.
it doesnt seem that essential to have a parkin in your team, more to have a well balanced midfeild.

just because im as dark as the night, doesnt mean i respect those pricks up there.
they are the main reason a brother like me might resort to black on black vioence :twak:
i thought someone would pull me up on teale, he did create loads though, much like kavanagh.

Shakes+The Robert Pires-A-Like King will sign will get us the goals. So shut up an dget back to dealing drugs with Asher. I'm sure King isn't that thick and will sort us out.
I will bet anyone who is willing 5 quid we will make the playoffs next season (geniunely) - a bid which is especially valid IF parkin GOES (and you all know how much I love his juicy cock).

Can I be the first of many to take you up on the wager? Yes mate. Though as it's u, instead of a fiver, can I have all the birds you've had at a young age. You are officially the stud of thetownend.com I will lay down a lot of money, as I firmly believe that. If I didn't, I wouldn't be planning to go to half the games I intend to next season, from the sc*m of the universe (Brighton, without an automobile).

yeh, we don't even know who the midfield will be next season... even king isn't stupid enough to go into a season planning to play a midfied of pook, wells and miglioranzi. just wait, king will probably bring in a whole new midfield.

It looks like the next two signings will be midfielders - Could one of them be Daryl Powell?
I have to say, this is turning out to be a rather exciting close-season, almost as good as two years ago.
And look what happened then!
