Punter still think KP hit the ball, by not even admitting he was wrong, despite all the evidence.
If Clarke had been getting a few runs I would have expected Ponting to be replaced for the final Test. As it is, I suspect that he will get a final humiliation at Sydney - hopefully!

I'm sat here knackered. If I go to bed the wickets will fall, you can count on it.

Seconded, although fucking wasted is more "tired and tipsy"

With apologies to Oasis...
Slip inside Ricky Ponting's mind He's trying to find Some new players to play
He wants to play his older team But that's just a dream They're too old to play
He said he'd start a revolution in his head But he's been through all the players A to Z Now there's just a summertime of doom If he loses the Ashes race He is going to lose his place Losing three would simply tear his heart out
....So Ricky can wait Shane Warne is too late And there's no Glenn McGrath Gilchrist's had his day ...And don't look back to Langer He cannot play

Now we've just got to make it 3-1 in Sydney...
England's biggest win in Australia for 98 years, and Punter on the verge of being the first Aussie captain to lose three Ashes series for over 100 years.

I love this. Not quite sure why. Well I am actually. I bloody hate Ponting.

Obviously I'd love us to win the final Test but the fact that urn has been retained is more than good enough as far as I'm concerned.

I dont think it is. England are a far better side than Australia, and if the Aussies can win at the SCG, then England still wont have won in Australia since 1987. Australia will be back, probably with a vengence. I never thought Id see them such a shambles. If we dont seal the series then England might not get a better chance for another 20 years.

I agree but let us be honest, you only have to listen to the comments coming from the players and what their press and fans are saying... They have lost as far as they're concerned and that's why it's good enough for me.
I'd rather England finished the job... As long as they don't follow this up like they did earlier in the series with a poor batting display.
We've got no pressure on us and that can hopefully work in our favour.
Ultimately, I'm elated.
