Bowlers have got 20 wickets. Top 4 batsmen have lost this test.
Why is Trott at number 3 anyway? Flat track bully. Leaving Bell to carve another 50 out of the tail.

Ferk's sakes. Still, it doesn't change much- we still need to win any one of the last three to retain the Ashes. A series win would be excellent, and I'm still fairly confident despite the last few days- Hussey and Johnson have performed in this Test, but Aussies still have the same worries over everyone in the top 6 bar Hussey- Watson can't convert, Hughes can't play a short ball and Clarke and Ponting can't buy a run.

Actually, Trott was making things look easy until he got out. Furthermore, Bell performs better at 6 than higher up the order.

What a load of shite. Knew we'd fuck this one up after being so good in the first few matches. It's got to their heads again I think. They think they'll just walk it and it's played into the Aussies hands. Hopefully it wakes them back up like the defeat at Headingley did in 2009. At least it's still 1-1. That means we'll still retain the urn with 2 draws in the last 2 games.

True, but it'd be nice to win rather than draw the series

So, will there be a negative team selection for England? Bresnan in to replace Finn to strengthen the batting? Also, Bell to 5, Collingwood to 6 to appease the commentary team?

4th Test gets underway at half 11. Bresnan in for Finn (gulp!) and we've won the toss and decided to bowl.

I've not been keeping completetly in the loop with the england cricket scene over the past year or so, but bresnan appears to be little more than a modern day anthony mcgrath. A decent county bowler and handy with the bat, but not test quality with either

It just worries me that we've replaced our leading fast bowling wicket taker with someone of this ilk. Finn may have been expensive so far but he's been taking wickets and leaving him out (especially with Broad missing as well) is a big risk IMO.

In saying all that above the Aussies haven't picked an out and out spinner. Strange. Reckon it will turn a little here. Swann could be the key man for us.

To be fair think they're just resting him. We can't lose the ashes here so if they don't think Finn can make it through the whole series I can understand the thinking behind leaving him out of this match. Don't agree with the decision to bowl first though...
