The appointment of Short was too romantic, it was always going to end in tears.

But yes, it's too soon.

Joke of a decision from a joke of a club.

Sums it up perfectly.

I think most people will point to the fact they broke FL rules on spending too much on salaries...and they got away with no punishment, bar a transfer ban at the end of last season, when it was too late.

If they were in the bottom two and well adrift, I can understand it...but not when they're mid-table.

They didn't endear themselves much by bringing Lee Hughes back into the game, and his moronic dance in celebrating goals only enflames those taunting him.

To be fair, it was Oldham and John Sheridan who bought him back.

they didn't really break the rules as such, if its classed as a donation to the football club and the club doesnt pick up the bill of wages if the owners piss off then its fine.

they do have a convicted murderer (or manslaughterer if you will) who showed practically no remorse playing for them....that doesn't help their popularity.

What's he supposed to do, cry at every game? Release a statement after every goal saying it's in honour of the person who's dead? Not celebrate, lower his head and say a little prayer after each goal?

I've no doubt that he's having to live with what he did every day of his life.

That is bollocks. He's met up with the person's family and by all accounts is a changed man since he was released. Which is why I don't have a problem with him - he did something really stupid, served his time and is now making amends. What more can he do? You can't punish him for the rest of his life.

Paul Ince favorite for the job apparently as well as the M'Boro job

He's done nothing as a manager, why does he continue to get linked to these jobs
