I went in both in the mid 60's....the Holte End, when Town played Forest in a 3rd FA Cup match on a neutral ground, along with about 20,000 other Town fans....somewhat awesome. The Wednesday Kop when Town played them in the cup. Going in there was a mistake, some kindly policeman escorted us to where the other Town fans were stood at the other end  Back then the TE seemed massive to me....bit of a shock to see these legendary terraces close up. |

I always liked the Shrivvy enclosure and was sad to see the old south stand go. Did we ever have to postpone a game due to the risk of it collapsing in high winds, or was it just the stand that got closed for the day? |

I used to like the old Holmesdale Road Terrace at Selhurst Park. It was massive, although it doesn't look that big in this picture...

sheff weds end is fooking massive.i remember being in awe of it as a teen.
stokes old terrace behind the goal made alot of noise and was memorable.
my best days watching football were in the shrivvy road stand.

Maine Road looks quite decent in those pics, especially compared to other old grounds... I've got vague memories of being sat on some sort of temporary seats on a scaffold type of stand there?! And we lost 6-0?

Great memories of being in the Rovers family end(terrace) at Eastville when we beat them 4-1
1981-82
You can still pass it going down the M32, not that it's a football ground any more of course.
Lost next game 5-0 away at Walsall seem to remember.

The best for me was the old Valley at Charlton, don't remember the name of the terrace but it was massive and steep.

The big terrace at the side of The Vetch Swansea was always packed and made a lot of noise.
I miss the old grounds with character and atmosphere.
