No they shouldn't. A cold spell in the UK can take place anytime from November to March, so when can you take it, and anyway, they'll just fly off to Asia to make some big money by playing a high profile friendly.

Over the last 15 years, they've reduced the size of the Prem (22 down to 20), reduced the number of replays in the League and FA Cup, no longer take the LC seriously until they get to the semis. The only competitions they've increased the number of games was in the Chumpions League and Europa Cup. Fulham played 19 games to get to the final last year, half a league season.

So, if they want to reduce games, as Batch says, go back to knockout competitions in Europe.

It would only benefit Brad Friedal anyway.

Maybe they could play the 39th game they fancy during this break, somewhere warmer.

If thgey are going to take a break it should be for the 6 weeks before a major tournament say after easter, then come back to finish the season for 2/3 games to get match fit for the world cup etc
