Geez.......when he speaks to our local rag he wants to join us, when he speaks to the Pompey press he wants to join them! Can't keep everyone happy Matt!

2 year contract on the table for him to sign at Pompey by the look of it!

To be fair, there's nothing in the earlier article (below) that contradicts this.

http://www.thisisswindontownfc.co.uk/news/headlines/8430834.Ritchie_hints_at_chance_of_permanent_switch/?ref=rss

His first choice is a contract at Pompey.  He's from Gosport, and Pompey play (for the moment) at a higher level.  So who can blame him?

However, if there was the offer of a permanent deal with us...he wouldn't turn it down.  I can see exactly where he's coming from.

As Ardiles says, he's a Pompey player and supporter. I find no surprise in anything he says or not. Turn the drama down a notch I reckon.

Nothing new really as you cant blame him for wanting to play for his boyhood club,He would always choose them over us if offered a contract. I hope our fans dont get on his back because of his comments today, but i guess im hoping for to much and I'm now expecting the adver board will now go into meltdown after his comments today.

It's great that he's here and would be even better if we could extend until at least the january transfer window.

If he has a good month(s) here he can sign a five year deal at Pompey for all I care.

He's here and he wants to play - let's not nit pick.

Didnt Danny Ward sign a new contract before he came here on loan?
Didnt Simon Ferry sign a new contract before he came here on loan?

It doesn't bother me one little bit that that he'd rather stay at Pompey, I'm sure if the question had been asked to Ward last season he would have said exactly the same about his parent club.

All I care about is how he performs while he's here and if he keeps his performances on the level he achieved against Torquay, he'll do for me (Tommy).
