No one thinks you were undeserving of the win. Most people are just furious with how this team has gone from playing some of the most attractive football in L1 last season, to what we all witnessed yesterday.

I can imagine you lot are pretty pissed off to be fair.
John Still has not been patronising in any way, every game to us this season is our clubs biggest - it doesnt matter who you are, its about where we are!

And finally we do actually have massive garden sheds round here. Mine will hold 1700, 2000 if I take the lawnmower out and move the garden chairs and tools round a bit [/quote]
Sounds like a great shed, Tell us more. Do you have 2 sheds?

Has it got 4 sides or does the 4th side lead on to where you park your car?

I'm hoping to get planning permission to redevelop the 4th side into a sports/leisure complex, with optional hotel opportunity. But there needs to be access points so I can get the mower in and out, which is the sticking point at the moment

We are suckers for teams who have come up out of non league. Always have been.
Last time I saw Bas Savage he could barely run and our fans were literally laughing at him (Tranmere at home).
After taking the lead we should have won this game. Amankwaah's defending of their equaliser is incompetant. Arses need to be kicked.
I worry for us at Peterborough and I dont think I will travel. I can see them putting 4 past us. Rovers have won 3 out of 4. Consistancy is their downfall, but when they are switched on they are a decent side.
Things do change though, Im far from writing off the season, but this looks like a sticky patch.

Wait.....its not called The Kassam is it? Will a load of people in yellow shirts play some games in front of your shed, and half way through the season bottle it? If so, i think ive seen your shed!

Before the match i expected us to win. I apologised in advance for sounding Leeds fan-esque, but i think most of the footballing world would've expected us to win which, in retrospect, makes the Dagenham victory even more of an achievement.
Judging by the fuss that they made about Dagenham's win on the Football League Show and the comments that their own manager made afterwards, it would seem so. I didn't go yesterday, but my brother did and his sum up was 'Pretty poor, strikers were a waste of space, midfield not much better, defenders slightly better again, Lucas top of the list. Could have snatched a draw, but Wilson left it to late to make any changes. Not good enough and disappointing to say the least' Having read the comments of others that went, it seems a fairly accurate sum up. It's quite clear we need to strengthen the team and most of us have been saying that for weeks. Dossevi and Pericard have had their chance and I don't believe they're ver going to do any better than we've seen tbh. I disagree with Wilson's comment about not being desparate to go out to the loan market, I think it is becoming so. We have absolutely no real strength on the bench or players that are likely to come on and change a game (apart from McGovern yesterday?) The only good thing is that the league seems to be completely wide open and everyone is dropping points left right and centre. It's just a shame we're not capitilising on this and I'm sure soon, teams will start to settle and potentially start to pull away. Unless something drastically changes, unfortunatelu I can't see us being one of them!

right, now that glasto is booked up i can focus on this again...
sorry A Dagger but bas savage is shit, we've seen him a number of times and formed that opinion over time, though he was to much for our defence to handle on the day
i did think you were fairly poor as far as real football goes but like i said earlier (last night) you knew exactly how to play to your strenghts and your players did you proud by putting in the effort that our players obviously didn't.
as it goes i was glad you came up and was also glad to see you finally make it into the league as you've been knocking on the door for a while and your rise goes to show exactly what supporting lower league/non league is all about and furthermore makes even more of a mockery of the abomination that is the Franchise - promise me you make them know that you're here on merit and that their very existance is a spit in the face of all teams like you who are busting a gut to get into the professional leagues.
i hope you stay up but naturally hope we get the better of you at the CG

Its been said on here again and again- the reason we have problems is that we have not adequately like for like replaced the players we lost in the summer. This is essential if we are to repeat this feat or go one better. Anything less and mid table is the best we can hope for.

How many players are playing to their full potential like last season? That's the major difference in my opinion.
My personal view is that the squad ins't settled. I'm not sure Wilson knows what he wants from the team and the players in the system. I'm sure I read he wanted to be more direct down the flanks earlier this season, then he's chosen to play very narrow after that.

We are missing danny ward thats for sure or someone like him where they can get at the opposition defence and give them something else to think about even when we had macca teams had to double up,Ball dont seem as effective as ward was outwide and i dont think O'Brein is the answer either,Just maybe we have to many adaptable players rather than just a good old fashioned winger who can take on players and weigh in with a few decent crosses and goals.
I tend to agree with Si about danny not knowing his best system or where to play certain players.

Quote from: b3nny on Today at 12:36:10 I'd also like to see Dossevi on the left as there's less chance he'll get caught offside.
this is a very good point, left or right for me running at em from deep...correct me if I'm wrong as I can only go on what I've previously been told and supposedly what is on youtube clips of him playing for Nantes, but this guy is a 31 year old attacking midfielder and not a striker. This is a classic case of square pegs round holes and the guy isn't used to playing on the toes of an oppositions back four I wouldn't imagine. Yes, of course he knows the offside rule, but if you've learnt your trade for 15 years playing wide right for instance, most of the time you're at least 20 yards behind your strikers.
The same can be said of attempting to turn Ball into a midfielder when he is a striker, again, square pegs round holes.
Yes we miss Paynter and Ward (more than most of us would have imagined) but lets get back to basics, 4-4-2 and start grinding out results and get the players hunting in packs.
Fuck me I thought my cup was half empty but the doom n gloom merchants on here need to have a word!....and no I wasn't there yesterday and neither did I listen to the apparent custard pie commentary.
