Judging by that photo, I think I know what he has been spending all his money on.

I think Keith liked a bet.

I read this morning that Carl Cort has gone bankrupt as well.

Totally agree! How the hell can you squander all that money?! He must of been earning at least 30-40 grand a week at the peak of his career!

Not arguing that he hasn't earned a lot of money, but 30-40 grand a week during the late 90's? I dunno, my football pay scale vs. time ago scale isn't that good. I'm interested to know though.

Regardless of pay scale it's a ridiculous amount to get through. Bet he had some fun though.

Even if it was half that you're still talking gross of over the £1m a year mark for a good few years.  Think someone has already said it but Keith liked the odd flutter so wouldn't be surprised if his local bookie saw most of that.

Oh yeah definitely, I'm more interested in what he was likely to be earning in the late 90's. I find football wages interesting. Dunno why.

He is a compulsive gambler...Fergie tried to get him to be part paid and get his money saved by the club....he said no.
Thats why he left for Newcastle and his signing on fee from that deal cleared his debts.
