Sorry I've not been around, I suspect lots of you have missed me
Well the company I work for has gone tits up so I am now out of a job. We didn't get paid our wages for September. Tho I'm not officially unemployed until sometime next week when the receiver is appointed
So if anyone hears of any vacancies for printers please let me know. Would be willing to travel and board if needed
Used to running Heidelbergs and KBA

Sorry to hear it, STFCbmth. The 'How is the Recession Affecting You' thread (which ran to a lot of pages) hasn't been bumped for a while, but the effects of the recession are still every real for a lot of people. Do you have any kind of cushion, or is find work by Monday a necessity? Will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Bad luck dude - if it's any consolation that same thing happened to me about 6 years ago At the time it was hideous having to go to the job centre and sign on to get statutory redundacy etc but as one door shuts another opens and sometimes you end up better off in the long run *hugs*

I really hope something turns up for you soon.
Will you get the money you're owed for September or does it now have to go through the receivers? Must be really difficult financially if you haven't been paid and I assume if the company's gone bust you won't get any redundancy money either?
