Bizarrely, when I first read this thread it got me looking up Pipkins as I thought the same as you. But, I thought it was called Pipkins Yard and none of the clips or descriptions I've found seem to ring any bells. Am I thinking of another show?

Though Wikipedia says they changed the set in later series, so maybe I just haven't seen a clip of one of those episodes yet.

Pipkins was a spin off from Inigo Pipkins the original series with an old blad bloke (Inigo Pipkins) which was much better than the Johnny and Pipkins era.
