Well i dont listen to it but many i know do and reckon its total rubbish.
My feeling is maybe the club should get more involved in getting a proper commentary team sorted.
I have only listened once and it was embarasing to be honest.......we need a team with a bit of passion to try and get some more bums on seats rather than the present bunch who sound like a day at the County Ground is akin to being shot by firing squad.

Vic morgan does his best bless him, and i applaud his commitment with all the miles he has to travel, but he's a bit shit. And the sound of his voice annoys me, which is probably just a personal thing and can't really be helped. Phil king's decent though

The beeb could do a lot worse than making shaun hodgetts the first choice commentator

Hodgetts was brilliant commentating on the Southampton JPT game.

Vic's great, especially the way he forgets he's commentating whenever anything exciting happens.

What happened to Ed?

Welcome to the world of the estranged support Leef, we put up with this poor quality nearly every week. But, to be fair, the commentary is miles better than it ever was on Brunel.

The poor standard is appalling from such a professional outfit as the BBC, over excited commentators (sorry Vic but you are) and getting names wrong constantly like calling Dossevi - Dovessi (Phil King I am looking at you here) the way they inanely chat about the colour of players boots and shit.

And to add to it......we have missed 3 kick offs on STFC World due to things not being sorted at thier end and yesterday to add insult to injury it totally failed with 80 mins on the clock so we had no commentary whatsoever for the goal.

This is an utterly appalling service which we pay money for.

Yours faithfully, a disgruntled and estranged fan in Somerset.

I only really listen for the away games, the commentary isnt too bad. The only thing that annoys me, is Vic Morgan gets excited over everything. There have been two occasions so far this season when goals gave gone in and I've been utterly confused as to whats happened.

Franchise, Lucas saves, Lucas saves again (or words to that effect) YESSSS. Left me thinking he'd made a string of good saves and we've got it clear. We havent MK have scored?!

...and Walsall last week. Walsall with the free kick, it hits the post....side foot and IN.........................................shit, we're 2-1 down not.....PERICARD has scored!?

I know I wasnt the only one confused against Walsall, having seen the goal I appreicate it was a quick counter attack - but still - if there are areas in football commentary where you have to be 100% clear its goals! Vic just sounds like a neutral (is he?) who gets excited when both teams attack, which in part is annoying as a Town fan listening to someone doing the Town commentary get excited when the opposition score whilst I'm throwing out every expletive I know and also confusing.

I'd rather like to be able to work out what is going on (us attacking, them attacking) by the tone of voice.

Its almost like Vic is a neutral commentating on a sky game that we are also watching, so we can see whats going on.

STFC World (not that I have EVER used it) has never actually worked properly has it? Could the club not bin off Premium TV and have a go themselves? cant do any worse?

It needs to Mark O' D in the studio and Ed Hadwin + 1 commentating (doesn't really matter who the +1 is) Could even be Vic in fact. I think that would work.

Since Mark O'D stopped doing the show I no longer listen before the game, switch on and 5 to 3. Maybe stick around to hear whoever they interview and thats it.

I used to tune in at 2 when I got home from work and listen till the end of the show, there were times after the game when Mark O'D has me in stitches.

Agree with all of this - apart from the Somerset bit  Cheesy
I too lost the commentary for the last part of the match, and I really did have no idea from the commentary (when it was on) how well we played - I shouldn't have to wait until I read the comments on here from those who have been to realise.

yup, They dropped a bollock moving him off the Sport unless he wanted off. I now just tune it at 2 for team news then 3 for the match when we are away.

Its already been mentioned but Vic's problem is over excitement when anything goes near goal. I've no idea whose done what for several seconds half the time.
