First of all well done Swindon! On the day you wanted it more than us!

The two ex-Leeds lads bossed midfield and the ferocious tackle by Douglas that took Roberts out just about summed it up for me. Mind you, I've seen players 'walk' for less than that. I'm not saying that because Robert's sustained a serious arm injury (he needs surgery and could be out for months) but because of the 'malice intent' in the tackle. It was uncalled for in that part of the pitch in my view. If I 'tackled' someone like that out side my local boozer I'd in the local nick this morning! Yes

On the whole you had far more aggression than us and there's nowt wrong with that but to call us soft moaning northerners is slightly unfair given the circumstances. However, if you like it that way, I hope you're okay with something similar for our lads when you play at The Pharm'. Us Northerners have long memories!

The game seemed pretty even in the first half I thought with two good sides giving as good as they got. It was really crucial for us that Scot Arfield didn't start the second half because that coupled with the Roberts incident meant our creativity totally dried up. I'm not making excuses because we should have risen to the challenge in the second half and we just didn't. On that performance I can see why a lot of you are surprised we were 'up there' but hey, there's plenty of matches to come and we'll stay up there. Obviously we'd have been happy to take a point but fair play to Swindon for winning it at the end. Although I would have liked to have seen the ball smacked into the stand, as it was your lad was allow a free header!

Good luck Swindon Town, I'm sure you'll be up there yourselves come May time. I'm not surprised you won the game if I'm honest but it's the injury to Robbo who's one of our best players that concerns me most!

Like fuck. Fair but hard challenge.  Not even a foul let alone a red/GBH. It was just unfortunate he broke his arm. Hope its not too bad.

As the ref confirmed by not only not sending him off, but not a booking either, looked a great tackle from where i was, just your lad fell awkwardly. Looking foward to the away leg, might be a bit "frantic" I reckon. Anyway no doubt you'll be up there, but you need to learn how to take more points of the better teams, as to me  if Hudds were a cricketer you'd be Graham Hick. I.e batter the lesser lights but freeze when you need to up your game, that must be down to tactics, so seems to be your manager needs to adapt his thinking.

A ridiculous tackle especially in that area of the pitch. If he'd done that in or around the their penalty area I could understand it. Jeeeeesus Christ he'll get some hammer when he's up at our place for that! Wink

Confirms a good tackle, gets the ball then makes contact with the player.

Then some fat bloke in a number 9 Huddersfield shirt must have jumped onto the pitch to shove people around. Not seen anyone that big at the CG since Ruddock left.

He didn't jump in, he got the ball, the ref was right in front of it and didn't book him.
It's not nice that he's broken his arm but that was the way he fell, it makes the tackle sound worse than it was.

That's the problem with terriers - they have very short legs so rarely have a good view Smiley

It's a contact sport. Dougie won the ball, player fell awkwardly which is unfortunate but absolutely nothing wrong with that challenge.

Funny how a challenge by one of the Udders players on the sideline (can't remember who on - possibly Prutton) goes unmentioned as that looked much more malicious.

Look at the ball for god sake, it was literally yards from the ref and he gave NOTHING, if its as bad as you make it out to be, he would of walked go questions asked.

absolutely mental, with 20 20 memory even in the face of video evidence you're sticking to the fact it was a foul and should have been sent off! do you work for the FA?

carey's tackle on douglas by the touchline was worse and the ball wasn't anywhere near to being won.

we all have slightly biased opinions but this is a bit silly now.

what was your view on the advantage being played so you could advance with a man down, but then when we broke the play was stopped?
