Boss expects different Saints performance

DANNY Wilson believes Swindon’s fans will see a different Southampton side tomorrow to the one which was dismantled at St Mary’s last week - because they will care.

He has a point. I think it will be a much tougher game. We are bottom of the league so we are not exactly buzzing. They might have Adkins in or someone else to impress, and they are a big club with good players. They just lost guidance with losing Pardew. Dannys covering things as he knows this wont be like the  Paint trophy.
Should we lose tomorrow the pressure will be on Danny,  if Pardew had to go after a 4-0  win , then looking at Dannys results he might be in trouble.  This is results business and we dont want to get stuck at the bottom of div 1.

I'll be a lot less scientific. What history has shown is if you play a side twice in a short space of time, the outcome is rarely the same. I.e we'll lose or draw anyway tomorrow.

I think we'll get hammered. Adkins will be announced today and the players will want to make a good impression.

On what do you base that.

Probably based on
* the fact we have now beaten them three times on the trot, including 3-0 just over a week ago at their place.
* kept clean sheets each time
* they got beat 2-0 at home by Rochdale on Saturday
* they have no manager
* we have improved the last two games
* we have two clean sheets in a row

I fancy us to win too Smiley

I like your thinking, I still think we will draw or lose too though!

I haven't made it to ANY of the Southampton games yet and we've won them all.

I also can't make it tomorrow.

It is for this reason that I predict a Swindon win.

Although, thinking about it, my nephew started coming last season to a few games and never saw us win once.
He has a season ticket for this season and i'm starting to wonder if he's a bad omen.
If we don't win tomorrow I will seriously think about sacrificing him.

We should win, but we won't.
