Sheff Wed have 24 hrs to find £1.1m (unpaid tax bill) or could go into admin in next 24 hours according to Beeb

Good job they didn't spend loads of money on players over the summer or that would look like profligacy. Oh.

We wouldn't be bottom of the league if they go into admin before Saturday.

Erm, I mean I wish them well.

To be fair most Wednesday fans i know are an alright bunch of people.  I wouldn't wish admin on anyone to be honest not even our yellow counterparts down the road.

Also most of Wednesday's summer signings were free transfers.

No-one said any different - not the fans' fault the board have mismanaged the finances, not at Wednesday, nor Cardiff, nor Pompey, nor Saints, nor Southend, nor here a few years back.

Some but by no means all. And those that were - they playing for the love of it then? Just because club makes a load of free signings, doesn't mean they're not pushing the boat out financially

Some are probably on a better wage than our players but i would imagine not by much.  Isn't a wage cap in League One?

I believe the wage cap only applies in League Two.

No and in any case that's immaterial as we have a board who are prepared to, and capable of, putting in money for the right players while ensuring the bills are still paid. Wendies manifestly do not

Their superiority complex isn't in the same league as Leeds or Oxfrod, but it is there.

Perhaps coming back down so soon may have given them pause for thought.....

I wouldn't wish it on anyone after what we've been through. But rules are rules, and the associations need to be consistent with what's happened to other clubs in the situation.

Moving off of bottom place as this early stage in the season doesn't outweigh the potential killing of another club in my eyes.

They got into debt under 'Sir' Dave Richards, who's doing a 'wonderful' job at the PL, and they've never got their debt reduced.

There has been talk about 'big' investment at the Wendies for the last 10 years, and it's never materialised. I did notice that in one of the papers that Chris Turner, who just left Hartlepool, it allegedly in the process to getting a consortium together to supposedly invest £10m.

Well i reckon someone like Tudguy and a few others would be on double our players wages.
What it does show is that our 8000 a week and there 25000 a week dosn't mean jot anymore.

They wont be killed off though will they. They will go through the process like every other team that has been in this shit has,  and come through it.

It would if both clubs had similar debts, but wednesday are supposed to have debts of £30m+. Thats a lot of interest.
