Okay, so my shoulder hurts when I drive and sometimes when I lift.  It feels like smeone is stabbing me in the shoulder and twisting the knife, which is probably something to do with me breaking my collarbone a few years back.  Been to the doctor's and she said, 'it's obviously causing you pain', thanks for that    I've got drugs to numb the pain but I can't keep taking them, and if i go back to the doctors they'll only want to open me up and then fuck it up even worse.

So question is, does anyone have any knowledge/experience of some alternative therapy I could try?

Cheers.

I have done Acupuncture and Homeopathy and both are very good.  Acupucture in particular could well work.  Worth a go.  Whatever you do though do it privately as i have yet to meet a decent one on the NHS.  It's not overly expensive either.  The one my Mrs goes to for her hayfever charges about £30 for half hour i think (acupuncture) and the last homeopath i went to was really cheap at £20 ish (I think)  and she was excellent.  Well worth looking out but there are also some really shit ones out there.

I was thinking acupuncture, just didn't know if they'd be able to solve that sort of pain?

Basically the homepath tries all sorts things to try and find your intolerance and you get little tablets basically to take which are all natural ingredients.  There are many differrent "remedies" and this depends on the person and can take a few attempts to get the right one, so you have to stick with it.

It does actually seem to work as last summer her hayfever was so much better (not gone completely, but compared to how she was it was a blessing).  This summer she has been too busy to go and she has been awful again.  She is going to go again in the next week or so actually.

I went to a homeopath after I shattered both the bones in my leg. It was a really bad brake and was taking ages to heal. I had these bloody big pins sticking out of my leg which was really getting me down. Every  time I went back for an x-ray the Doc would say ''still healing slowly, we'll leave the pins in for another month''. So I went to the Homeopath who gave me some tablets. Next time I went back to the hospital they were amazed at the growth in my bone and how far along I was with my recovery. They said it had done a months worth of healing in half the time. So if you get the chance give the homeopath a shot
