So far it has been a disappointing season compared to the expectations and in the light of last seasons magnificant results.

Well for one thing, I wasn't that optimistic in front of this season as others - I rarely am. The minute I got confirmed the news that Gordon Greer was sold to Brighton and Wilson said he wouldn't rush in to buy a replacement I felt a little empty and a little pessimistic. I think Greer was a pillar last season and with his experience and his being I doubted that neither Cuthbert, Morrison or Jean-Francois was the right replacement as the towering leader in the back four.

Never the less it's a team's game, and as I've heard all three of them has had both good and bad games so far this season. I really hope that we can sign an experienced defender/centre back by the time of the transfer window closing tomorrow night. Or else I guess I will become a bit more pessimistic.

I salute Danny Wilsons brilliant signings this summer though. Caddis, Ferry, Dossevi, Rose and Prutton. Sounds brilliant, and hopefully they will grow into their roles and the team. I am a little surprised that Prutton has got the nod on behalf of Ferry in some of the early games. I would perhaps like to see the three of them in the middle of the park at once, with full backs as wingers - just as the good ole' Nicky Summerbee-days. 5-3-2 (defensive) / 3-5-2 (offensive)

Simon Ferry is too good for the bench. Also I think Thomas Dossevi will be a very good signing once toughened and familiar with the british style of play. And if we sign up Alan Gow we will get another alterative offensivly as well!

Now sign up a couple of central defenders by the time of tomorrow, Danny - and I will once again be as optimistic (!) as always !

OH, AND BY THE WAY! Our norwegian homepage sadly got defunct by their fellow owner in august, so I decided to start up a new website in norwegian for Norwegian Swindon Town-fans

Please visit www.heiaswindon.com sometime! I am still learning WordPress so be patient - the site isn't near what I would like it to be yet - but please have a look!! Smiley

COME ON YOU REDS!

Dunno. Thought thats what the cool kids watch and thought it might be good to have a feature on the Town and its overseas contingent. Must admit to not having watched it more than a couple of times since Gary Stevens presented it.

That site is so up to date.

I would like to see the Adver replicate the headline 'Swindon senket Southampton'  and use a few choice quotes like
'I det 63. minutt doblet Swindon ledelsen da Charlie Austin'

It is always good to read about how Charlie Austin doblet the lead-el-son.

Fantastic work NR, real dedication.
