Hope this is in the right place but I am sorry to report that Mr Peter Arkell, from Arkells Brewery, died last night.  His nephew Nick was on the Swindon Board for a few years and his company sponsors the North Stand.  Mr Arkell retired as chairman of the brewery a couple of years ago.

RIP. I have always strongly associated Arkells with Swindon Town FC. Whenever I see their brew on sale, i'd plump for that above all else.

Nice man...once worked on his house years back nr Wroughton..before my driving days.
Let us use his Pool...let us help ourselfs to his beer collection and made sure we was never hungry.
He was proud of Swindon and his families ties with the Town.
RIP.

RIP. Sad news that. Arkells has been a part of Swindon Town and indeed the whole of Swindon in general for many years.

RIP will be a missed character, and the Arkells family did help us in our times of need, forever grateful.

Youve got to back the Arkells where you can. They do a lager now so no excuses!

RIP. Obviously a great man and a great supporter of Swindon the Town and Swindon Town the team.

RIP.  I now understand why Arkells brew a pint called 'Moonlight'.  The Arkells family have been great friends of STFC over the years.  Thinking of them at this sad time.
