I have to get the mrs driving as needs must.no good me trying to teach her as i already have tried that and it was a disaster. been donkeys since i learned so any recomendations would be welcomed. ta....

My missus recently passed and learnt with The Driving Academy. http://www.driving-academy.co.uk/about/She really liked her instructor, a guy called Don, and their rates are pretty reasonable.

It was about £18-£20 when I did it, but that was 4 years ago and I'd imagine it'll have gone up since then.

I was paying about £18 an hour in 2001, my missus was paying £22 an hour earlier this year, but was booking 10 lessons a time for £200.
