I get the impression Wilson doesn't rate Morrison otherwise I would give him a couple games to shuffle the pack.

The back line lacks leadership. They are both good players, but not so good at organising a defence.

JFL, with some work, would be an immense holding midfielder but, in my opinion, he is not a lower half Championship CB, which is the calibre of player we should be looking at to get us there.

The way I see it is this - if we are going for it this season, and given the level of investment in bringing in players such as Caddis, Ferry and Prutton I'd say we are, then we probably can't afford not to have experience at the back.

LJF has started to win me round, in the first two matched he was my MOTM. And we know Cuthbert wass immense last season. But sometime you need that older, wiser head at the back to take command of things and let the younger ones concentrate on their own game.

I'm not sure where all of this leaves Morrison though. He's only 19 though and it feels like he's been here forever! I'm sure his chance will come.

I agree. On the face of it, it looks like he's not being given a chance. However, it's becoming evident that we do need an experienced head at the back, which will only push him further down the pecking order. If we get this new player in, I think another loan spell could do Sean the world of good, as long as he had the right perspective and attitude. Even if his chance at Swindon doesn't come until late NEXT season he'll only be 20/21!

just cos he's had personal problems he is now god. fuck off.

people everyday have personal problems, some worse than others but it doesn't make them any better at playing football etc.

he's been a liability from day one and continues to be so.

No, you fuck off. Since he came he and made a few mistakes and looked a bit shoddy people have been getting on his back, how do you think that makes a player feel? They dont need the boo boys as soon as they join the club. I'm talking way before the earthquake in Haiti. LJF, Cult Hero.

This sums it up pretty well for me. When Greer left, it wasn't his footballing ability we were going to miss, but his leadership skills.

We have a young defence and they need an old head back there to organise them. Lucas can only do it to an extent.

I'd say Rose needs more help than JFL.

Exactly. A new CB isn't going to stop Rose from playing crap and causing a weakness on the left which the CB's have to cover and pulls the whole defence out of whack. Having O'Brien on the left doesn't help either.

New players aren't the only solution, I don't even think they're the best solution. A change of formation to have one or two holding midfielders would help to strengthen the defence, such as a 4-2-3-1 with Douglas and Prutton could do the trick.

We all know last season Scotty was immense but going over the 2 games i've seen this season of the 2 centrebacks LJF has been the better.

A few people who i know went on saturday reckon despite the soft clearance leading to the goal LJF was immense at the back again.

Rose may need a little more time to settle in but he does leave the the back far too exposed when he goes forward which means LJF has to keep coming across to cover him leave exposed at the back
