Posh Spice is a slapper, She takes it up the arse, And when shes shagging Beckham, She thinks of Jean Francois,
JEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN FRANCOISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS JEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN FRANCOISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
In other words, we don't need one with the king playing along side Cuthbert.

If Wilson thinks we need one, we need one.
Both Scotty and LJF are good central defenders ability-wise, I just think we need someone in there with experience and tactical nous.

This. To be fair many of us on here have been saying the same thing since Greer left. I understand Wilson wanted to see if Cuthbert and Jean-Francois could work together, and well done to him for realising early on that he needed to change things.

just cos he's had personal problems he is now god. fuck off.
people everyday have personal problems, some worse than others but it doesn't make them any better at playing football etc.
he's been a liability from day one and continues to be so.

I think the "love" has made him a better player to be honest and seems comfortable now. He is a lot better than he used to be and far better than Rose from what I have seen.

Yes that is right, because he has had personal problems I now think he is Colin Calderwood.
I appreciate that Lecs can be a bit of a liability but what you have to consider is the bloke is only young and inexperienced with league football. I am sure that over time he will improve as I believe he has the skills which can be built upon to become a good centre half. Both him and Cuthbert are young lads and have probably always played alongside a more senior centre half, like Greer so give them both time to develop. Saying that I do think a centre half is required to play alongside them both.
I dont like him because he has had personal problems, I like him because although he may not be the best, he tries his bloody hardest and given time will be a decent footballer. I suppose he was a liability at Southampton last season?

so you quote one game and that makes your argument stand. please!!!
whilst i agree he is young etc so is Morrison who i think is a better defender. As i mentioned LJF reminds me of Ifil. at times he can produce some excellent performances but more often than not he is found out of position and his distribution/decision making is woeful

As Wilson has said, Cuthbert and JFL both have the technical ability, it's just the as a pairing they lack the organisation and tactical awareness that would make us much more solid at the back. I'm glad Wilson is looking to rectify the problem, and am still quite optimistic about our chances this season, especially after the turn around on Saturday.

Not at all, it is performances like the one he gave at Southampton which lead me to believe that he is capable of becoming a good defender. Lecs was shocking at left-back in the first half at Charlton back in May, but when moved across into the middle he played much better and looked more comfortable. At the end of the day he is a very young, inexperienced player so he is not going to play like Franz Beckenbauer every week, that comes with game time. I have no doubt that Morrison is a good defender but the same thing applies to him. There have been a few times in the past where he has made mistakes which led to goals but he is still learning so we have to give him time. Wilson must see something in Lecs otherwise he wouldnt have signed him/picked him in the team in the first place. He was willing to give him and Cuthbert a chance but now it is obvious that we need someone with experience at the back. That is no reflection on either player (as DW has said), just that both perhaps lack that leadership quality.

i agree we are so far missing Greer or that type of player to hold the back line together and position them properly.
maybe this will help rose too??

I'd say Rose needs more help than JFL.
