I would 4-5-1 (becomes a 4-3-3 when we attack)

                                                                   Lucas

              Amankwaah                        Cuthbert           Jean-Francois               Rose

                                 McGovern                    Douglas                 Ferry

   Dossevi                                                                                                      O'Brien

                                                                   Austin

I'd bring Lucas straight back because of what he offers the back 4 organisationally, not because Smith played poorly. My reason for going with Amankwaah above Caddis is purely that it's a tricky away game and Amankwaah's size will be an advantage against Monkhouse. This system could really suit us though. O'Brien/Dossevi are both pacy and have the chance to play as genuine wingers. Whereas the midfield three of Doug/JP/Ferry are excellent at getting hold of the ball and keeping it!

doesn't prutton deserve a bit longer before he's dropped?
2 games is a bit soon to write a proven player off

on the flip side - how long should Ferry have to wait to get his chance?

i aint got a problem with ferry coming in.i just think 2 games in aint reaaly fair to drop prutton.all the above have already in their teams.
i dont like the formations with 1 up front either.austin banged them in as part of a pair.getting him to lead the line alone is a recipe for disaster i think.
of the teams above, dave's is the one i would go with.

Our left hand side is looking like shit defensively and it ain't that good going forward to offset it either. So I reckon we either need Caddis at LB or if Rose keeps his place then either JPM or Prutton at LM, to strengthen it up.

I'd imagine Wilson will want to tighten things up following two defeats so will go with a 4-5-1....

Lucas (or Smith)
Amankwaah Cuthbert LJF Caddis
JPM Prutton Ferry Douglas O'Brien
Austin

I agree. Although dropping Rose for Caddis is no different than dropping Prutton for Ferry, shirley? Saying that, Rose has not appeared to be an asset in either attack or defence and seems extremely hesitant about passing and crossing, so maybe he needs bench time? At this rate he's dead cert to become the hate-magnet the idiot fans have been crying out for since JPM rediscovered his ability.

That makes no sense keeping Kev in to handle Monkhouse when Monkhouse has got the better of Kev in the last 3 or 4 games, how many goals has Monkhouse got against us in recent times?

I hate disliking Swindon players and it is early days for him, but on the last 2 games I cant say im a fan of him. I just find he seems to either put his foot through the ball or put his foot on the ball looking for a pass. maybe its just a lack of movement from our midfield causing this

I've seen him play one friendly and one competitive game - which obviously isnt alot but he seems a bit Casal to me so far.

Norwich fans didnt have a good thing to say about him either. Not many Stockport fans either.
