I've come on here to ask about your MoM choice: what was that all about?
Your no 3, the winger, was by far your best player. Streets ahead of that no 2 who was caught out a few times by our forwards.

we personally didnt decide the man of the match, if we did it would have been LJF our 19.

Considering our number 3 was our left back I think your judgement is somewhat impaired

It's selected by the sponsor. No. 3 didn't deserve it. I agree with Dave, LJF (No. 19) deserved it if it had to go to anyone.

That is actually very good to hear seeing as that was perceived to be the 'problem' position during the close season.

I think he may have the bald headed yellow boots wearing Michael Rose mixed up with the bald headed yellow boots wearing Jon-Paul McGovern?

I would assume he was pushing on quite a lot?

I was surprised it was announced with 10 minutes to go. Agree with the LJF consensus.

I'm loving the positive LJF comments because that was my main concern before today. And the bloke can only get better with a regular run in the side along side Scotty. The rest of the side will sort itself out. You can play as many friendlies as you like but you can only really judge players on competetive games and it takes a little while to get things in place. We've got far more talent in this squad than this time last year and I trust Danny Boy 100% to sort it out.
He's been a Manager for 802 games for a reason. I loved his post-match press conference. He exuded confidence and experience and I couldn't help but compare it to the 'make it up as you go along' ramblings of the Smoking Chimp. I think what I'm saying is, I'm fucked off as hell but I still think we're going to have a great season.

LJF was MOM today no question. If he plays like that every game he'll be player of the season.
Yet I still think the "Ifil waiting to happen" comments aren't totally unfounded. But today was day 1 in changing my mind about that!

Ha! If you'd been in the away end you'd have heard nothing but abuse for the lino and ref. We thought they gave you everything (except an offside 2nd goal, but I'll take that thankyou). Seriously, we thought they were shocking.
I must have confused the 2 baldies with the lairy shoes then. Point was though, no way was your number 2 deserving of MoM. Shocking decision - and there was loads of match left too when the announcement came.
You lads seriously need an out and out striker. Anyone half decent would have buried the chances given. Your wingers played well and have got a bit of pace too which scares defenders. Pretty good at closing down and forcing silly mistakes. Thought you could have been a bit more inventive moving out from the back considering the talent you've got in the middle. Your keeper does like to hoof it.
Overall my heart says thank fuck we've beaten you, my head says that we rode our luck at times and a draw would have been fairer. But this is footie so logic and rational thought go through the window!
