(gūrt)
n. 1. (Mining) A gutter or channel for water, hewn out of the bottom of a working drift.

However, if Urban Dictionary is accurate it means to ejaculate on a turtle.

I was speaking to a girl in Melksham last Saturday night about the word "gurt" (dont ask me how we got onto that) but I think it has two meanings.  It can be both small (this gurt small mouse) and large (that bird has bloody gurt tits)

Dont ask me how or why - to both the meaning of gurt and why I was in Melksham on a Saturday night.

what does "gurt" even mean?

It is always used down here to mean "occupying a rather large amount of area/space/size (delete applicable)"

Bastardization of the word great.

If you make remedial effort post haste, you save yourself trouble in the long run, innit.

what does "gurt" even mean?

It usually means huge. But it's often using along with another word anyway eg "this gurt massive house". So actually it kind of means very. It's usually a word of emphasis (an adverb).

I should know, I've been living in Bristol for years.
