We currently have a vacancy for a Yard Supervisor at the above branch.

You will be responsible for the induction, training, supervision and co-ordination of all yard staff and drivers, ensuring a quality service to the customer at all times whilst undertaking those duties. You will also ensure adequate resources are maintained to meet customer requirements and sales targets and provide a contact point for customer and staff queries.

It is essential that you have been trained to operate MHE and have previous sales and stock control experience. You must also have excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, as well as a sound understanding of Health and Safety issues and best practice. Ideally you will be in a similar supervisory role in the company or simply have the drive, ability and experience to further your career.

CCF is one of the UK's leading distributor of interior building products to the construction industry. They offer a product portfolio of dry lining, ceiling, insulation, partitioning and fire protection products among others, from all the leading manufacturers.

The main duties and responsibilities will include:

- providing a high quality customer service in the selling of goods on the trade counter, ensuring customers' awareness of the goods available
- loading, unloading and moving stock manually and by the safe operation of Mechanical Handling Equipment
- correctly merchandising and maintaining stock at core product levels according to branch grade and participating in stocktaking as required

You must have the ability to operate mechanical handling equipment after training and meet the physical demands of the role. It is also essential that you have excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a methodical and tidy manner.
